years of darkness

It was July 9th 1999(18 of Tir), when students were attacked violently suddenly in the middle of night by military forces. It was another crisis of the continuous crisis against Mr. Khatami, the former and most probably the last reformist president of Iran. The students protests were held for six days and so many students were arrested and are still in prison such as Ahmad Batebi. He was sentenced to a 12 year imprisonment just for holding up a shirt with bloodstains on it in a picture which was published on the front cover of TIMES I guess.
To commemorate those days and the students who are still in prison people gather in the same street where the student dorms are, and this usually ends in some demonstrations and sometimes last for some days. There will be security guards again, beating people and ask them to leave.
But in my opinion and most of the academics these demonstrations are useless cause the have no purpose and leader. And most important of all don’t approve these movements because they are being supported by some silly satellite channels based in LA and run by some royalist singers. Since 99 I never took part in any of these movements.
Tow years ago, on the same days, my dad and I had an appointment with our dentist and we had to go to the same street. When we came out of the dentistry I asked my dad to drive through the street just to see what was going on. The worst thing about it is that they took our car number.
Last year we received a subpoena; my dad went to the court and explained the reason why we were there on that day.
Yesterday we received another subpoena; wanting me to go to the court this time. They say there were two ladies in the car. That not the only accusation, there are some others as well. They claim they have reports indicate that I called those satellite channels in order to report the thing happening here.
Huh, huh, huh, that is more than funny. That is nonsense. I had an argument with my parents. They want me accept whatever they say, sign whatever they want me to sign, do no object, and not even ask them for evidence. They want me to keep everything in peace till the next year when my studying is finished and they send me to another country.
Now, that all the conservatives have their power back, they want to scare people, but I am not afraid. This is the reason they are able to continue ruling this country. Everyone prefers to keep silent, that’s not me. Seems these years of darkness will never be over.
Wish me luck.

that is obligation,we donot have any choice.but accepting this reality is difficult,we live among alot of people that they are blind(they have known recently).it is catastrophy that we donot like to continue living in our country,it is as our home, but this country is a hole that 70,000,000 have fallen in& they donot try to come out because they have come to terms with conditions indisputably & they make claim that they are intellectual.maybe staying here & try to reform the society seems nonsense but it is the wish that next to the some futil beliefs, the majority accept the facts & donot behave like dogmatic people .we live in 2005& WE NEED BRAVE LEADER LIKE .....
